Where peaks tower high, the water tumbles far. The region’s largest cascades plunge several hundred metres over the bare rock face. It is the water from alpine pastures, fresh springs, caves and places of natural power that makes its way down into the valley and cloaks the surrounding area in a cooling mist. This spectacle can be observed from bridges and mountain railways, on hikes, bike tours and climbs.
